Harry Hidemi “Hide” “Pops” Horio, 81, of Honolulu died April 4 at St. Francis Hospice Puiwa on Oahu. Born in South Hilo, he was a retired ironworker for Jay Co. Hawaii. Private services. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by sons, Eric H. (Joy) Horio and Edwin K. (Nadine) Horio of Honolulu; brother, Kenneth Y. (Etsuko) Horio of Hilo; sisters, Nancy Nagai of Hilo and Daisy (Norman) Kujubu of Sacramento, Calif. Arrangements by Hosoi Garden Mortuary.

Dortha Richards Krist, 95, of Honokaa died Nov. 14, 2014, at home. Born in Salem, Ore., she was a home economist, teacher, homemaker and former member of Progressive Oregonians, Multnomah County Board of Elections, PTA and former member and past president of the Garden Club in Manzanita, Ore. Services in Oregon at a later date. Survived by sons, Will Flavelle and Vern Krist of Portland, Ore.; daughter, Debra Filippini of Honokaa; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
